DonationsHelp us continue to develop phpGCheckout
Project NewsletterThis project, we hope will be a catalyst for the adoption of Google Checkout into PHP enabled storefronts. As such, we are attempting to position phpGCheckout as the code base to jump start many integration projects. Our project, we hope, will continue to grow and be welcomed into the PHP e-commerce community. To keep our community informed we are planning to publish a series of monthly newsletters. If you are interested in joining our community register below.

About phpGCheckoutYou're here most likely because you are a PHP developer or project manager who operates an existing storefront or you're planning on developing one with Google Checkout as a payment option. With several toolkits available for PHP (including sample PHP code from Google), why would I want to use phpGCheckout? The impetus for us (Expert Database Solutions) to develop our own toolkit was platform independence as well as clean object oriented design. The available Google Checkout toolkits available require server-side DOM extensions that work with either PHP4 or PHP5 but not both. In addition, code that requires server extensions to be installed may limit the adaptation of Google Checkout into PHP storefronts where store owners have no control over their hosting environment; a common scenario among users who host on shared servers. Our goal with phpGCheckout is to create a library that simplifies the Google Checkout API with simple to use objects, produce a code base that does not require server dependencies as well as aid in the production of cleaner, easier to manage code. Why?
